| Bio: | I'm Mat. There was a horribly long bio here, but it was also horribly out of date.
I'm 3233, from Devon, I moved to London in early 2007 and then on to Yorkshire right at the end of the year. I'm currently working in a marketing job based in Wimbledon that lets me work from anywhere. Including my fiancée's bed in Yorkshire. This, naturally, is rather good, and makes up for the lower pay.
Friending: I have a large and unwieldy friends list, and I'm trying to keep it below 500 accounts/feeds/communities. If I've friended you and you don't know me, it's probably because I like the way you write about things that interest me. I try to say hello, it's nicer that way. If you add me, I might notice, and if I do, and you look interesting, I may delete a different account to add you back. If you say hello, talk to me and get involved with the conversations, then this is much more likely. If you want to read my journal, I assume it's because you find what I write/talk about interesting, so you could at least say so.
Personal life: Yeah, long distance relationships are a pain. Falling in love with someone you met through Livejournal is interesting. Having a girlfriend fiancée that makes public posts telling you off for not following up on the pretty girl flirting with you you met the other day? Still getting my head around that one, other than, well, very happy bunny. Which, actually, isn't that hard, but, y'know.
 I might add some politics links or campaign buttons here at some point. Just, y'know, I'm at about -6/-6 on the political compass, which makes me more left wing/liberal than 95% of people, and I do have to reign in my anarchist tendencies and remind myself I'm a democrat as well. Sometimes.
Oh, yeah, I'm a horrible lovely, delicious, ruggedly handsome letch, I used to apologise and try to hide this, but now I get told off for not being open about it. So give me a slap if I say something you think is inappropriate, 'flimsy moral standards' is in my interests for a reason... |
