Huh. So, other than the Nuclear thing and the smoking in public places thing, I'm Lib Dem. As opposed to what I always thought I was, which was "Uhm... Kinda Conservative? Bit Labour, bit of everything except the scary loons. Still missing the Monster Raving Loony Party".

Yeah, um, the two things I disagreed with? Those two. There might've been a third actually. The biggest problem the Lib Dems have got is actually letting people know what they believe in in a way that makes sense. I know, and I still disagree with stuff, but they're moving closer and closer to me all the time.

Besides, you're in Cornwall, what else were you going to be...

(worth noting it's biased as it's on voting record—UK parlt works on Govt proposing, and mostly everyone else opposing, so Lib Dems tend to oppose except on the self evidently good ideas (and the party activist base is more split on the smoking ban than the MPs were from what I've figured).

About

I'm Mat Bowles, a Devonshire lad displaced to Yorkshire. I'm an analyst specialising in politics and make a living from IT marketing, please don't hold that against me.

This is my personal general interest journal where I write about or link to whatever I've fond that amused, intrigued or enraged me at the time. I'm a committed liberal, equalist and atheist, but I really like it when people can demonstrate I'm wrong, and have close friends with whom I completely disagree on some if not all of those points.

Coalition For Choice

There probably ought to be a Creative Commons licence in here somewhere but in the meantime consider this permission to quote me (link) & link to what I write.

If you decide to keep reading, please do say hello, let me know where you found me from, etc. I promise not to bite (well, unless you want me to...)
