Microblogging by SMS, it's all the rage donchaknow. Using LoudTwitter and Twitter.
All of this has happened before...

...all of this will happen again. The Scott King film blog has a promotional pic and explanation for the next (final) season of Battlestar Galactica which also has a much bigger version of the pic, both from Entertainment Weekly. The pic itself has some minor spoiler info that you'd need to work hard to figure out, but the attached scan of the annotations has some pretty major stuff. There is, for example, a new ( SPOILER! ), Apollo ( SPOILER! ), Baltar's Six ( SPOILER! ) and perhaps most importantly ( SPOILER! ), meaning that the last Cylon is ( SPOILER! ).
ETA: There's more speculation, some reversed images and a comparison to the original over at
altitudeandwine. Thanks to
halcyon_shift in the comments.
Eeenteresting. Got Jennie Razor for Christmas, very cool, looking forward to this being broadcast. Via

What have I let myself in for? As of 15.50GMT today there were 113 flood warnings in the country. 60 of these were in West Yorkshire and 6 of them are in our little bit. Our local paper says: Brighouse submerged under torrent of water. Even the canal has burst its banks, flooding several local places of interest including the basement of Jennie's pub. She'll be posting about that later I suspect, she's home safe now thanks to an ingenious bus driver. I have some pictures I might be able to upload later (I can't find the cable in the still-packed boxes), so here are some from the local paper instead:

Don't get floods like this around my part of the country much. No rivers or canals may possibly explain that though. Fun fun...
( A note to the local paper )

This one made me laugh. Dramatis Personae:
Odds of me looking at the document in question before today? Minimal. But I've read it now. Nice try guys.
- Northern Rock: British bank in a little bit of financial difficulty.
- Wikileaks:
Wikileaks is developing an uncensorable Wikipedia for untraceable mass document leaking and analysis.
Set up intentionally to allow documents to be hosted without censorship. - Schillings: Our old friends the
Reputation managers with a reputation problem?
who used libel law as such a blunt instrument against Tim et al.
And get this, this is the genius one...
That's right, not content to try to censor a blogger for republishing stuff already in his book, they've now managed to attempt to censor a website specifically set up to stop censorship, by claiming copyright on the documents. Now, of course, they may have a legal case, but, um, guys? Don't you think you could learn from your mistakes?Collapsed UK Bank Attempts to Censor Wikileaks
In their legal demand to Wikileaks, Northern Rock's well-known media lawyers, Schillings, invoke the DMCA & WIPO, claim it'll be 10 years in prison for Wikileaks operators for not following the UK injunction, but then, incredibly, refuse to hand over a copy of the order unless Wikileaks' London lawyers promise not to give it to Wikileaks.
