OK, the results are in. Executive decision; everyone that know him picked Mark, most that don't picked Blears. As I really can't stand the woman anyway (she's not as bad as el Tone but, y'know) I figure let's do both, fair?

Poll #757340 So, what nasty terms should we use?

We can, of course, accept late write in nominations if someone comes up with something really good.

Completely unrelated. People interested in Doctor Who, Sci-Fi books and/or international politics should go friend [info]nwhyte. He's rather good at bringing the drama...

Thanks for the boost! You can hear me on Radio 4 in about 45 minutes. Probably.

Ah, cool. Just after On The Ropes with the sweaty baboon. I'm almost awake enough to pay attention to it this time around.

I don't know Mark from Adam, and as regards Blears you should have used tickyboxen rather than radio buttons because all three are bang-on descriptions.

And sentiments echoed regarding [info]nwhyte; consistently one of the best-informed blogs around.

Mark's a friend, but I'm trying to prod him into writing a lot more, as he's a lot better than he gives himself credit for. And he's consistently amusing. (he's also a close friend (and former housemate) of [info]clytemenstra's ex but I'm not sure they know each other; really small world at times...)

Can't use tickyboxes though, the whole point is we need to choose one. I had a slight advantage, I put my suggestion up, but voted for Sue's. You've voted for your suggestion I see ;-)

Urch. Given that I know a little bit about [info]clytemenstra's history of her time at Exeter I'm pleading the fifth on that one!

We know her, but are happy to avoid her now. We're still friends with Pete, and therefore we're the Enemy to be slandered, ranted about and generally bitched at, it seems.

Can't say I really care what she thinks, to be honest.

Are you? Do you actually read my journal? Or do you all assume that because its locked you're a topic for discussion?

Avoiding me isn't hard - I haven't lived in Exeter for a couple of years. Am I still in touch with Pete? No. Do I give a shit about any of you? Sadly, I did, once, but clearly I was mistaken.

Introspection

I'm Mat Bowles, a Devonshire lad displaced to Yorkshire. I'm a part-time analyst, marketer and website manage, although mostly I'm a house-husband.

Wikio - Top BlogsThis is my personal general interest journal where I write about or link to whatever I've fond that amused, intrigued or enraged me at the time. I'm a committed liberal, equalist and atheist, but I really like it when people can demonstrate I'm wrong, and have close friends with whom I completely disagree on some if not all of those points.

Coalition For Choice

There probably ought to be a Creative Commons licence in here somewhere but in the meantime consider this permission to quote me (link) & link to what I write.

If you decide to keep reading, please do say hello, let me know where you found me from, etc. I promise not to bite (well, unless you want me to...)
